We have created an all encompassing health, nutrition and wellness program for you and your family centered on the gut-brain connection.

Studies show that your gut’s health directly impacts your emotional well-being. Combining our expertise in the medical and mental health fields, our goal is to help you leverage that connection, leading to a truly well-balanced life.

    About our Program

Connect the Docs is an innovative program founded by a pediatrician and a licensed professional counselor that addresses healthy living from a mind-body connection standpoint while also offering the support you need when it feels like an uphill battle. Optimal health isn’t trendy diets, quick fixes or just the absence of illness. It comes from cultivating habits that allow our body to work like it was meant to, leading to a life full of physical, mental and emotional well-being.

A few years ago, while collaborating on patient care, we started noticing a common theme: those who reported having emotional struggles often had issues with poor nutrition and eating habits. The more we learned and experienced clinically in our day-to-day practices, the more we realized there is a vital connection between physical and mental health. Today, we see how important it is for kids, teens and their parents to understand this relationship with food, how it makes them feel and how it affects their physical and mental health.

As parents, we are right here with you! Between the two of us, we have six children ranging in age from 4 years old to 20 years old. We know the struggle of trying to instill healthy habits in our kids (and occasionally nudging our spouses in the right direction too!), while it seems like everything is working against us. Connect the Docs isn’t just about sharing nutritional insights, it’s about empowering you and your family to embrace a healthy lifestyle successfully.
